TURRIS LIBISONIS

The remains of an old romany colony named Turris Libisonis are located in a wide area near the main port of the town, about 200 metres from the hotel. A visit should be dedicated to Turris Libisonis as well as to the wonderful thermae of the old town and its majestic mosaics in which all paved streets lead us to admire ancient porticos trachyte made, doors of craftsmen’s workshops and a bridge with seven arcades belonging to the year 100 D.C.
In the near Antiquarium Museum are contained many extremely valuable marmoreal and mosaic works such as: fragments of columns, grave-stone inscriptions, ceramics and furnishings.
